The outcome of the 2019 Linden Amateur Basketball Association’s Youth Basketball Guyana Inter Club Championship tournament will be known tonight, when Victory Valley Royals, with their unblemished record, take on Retrieve Raiders in the final at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court.

Kings were eliminated 78-43 in the first semifinal, the Royals’ top players being: Immanuel La Rose, who led their charge with 33 points; Shemar Henry, who had 13; and Kobe Tappin, who made 12.
In the other semifinal, Retrieve Raiders got the better of Amelia’s Ward Jets, winning 57-50 after the scores were in their favour 18-15 by the end of the first quarter.
The scores were level at 27 when the first half ended, and when the third quarter came to a close, both teams were on 46; but the Raiders eased away to win 57-50 before the final whistle.
Kareem Roberts had a top score of 19 points, and teammates Stephan Duncan and Joshua Grannum each netted 12. For the Jets, Leon Benjamin had 19 points while Gavius George supported with 14 and Jennis Benjamin had 13.
The third-place game between Kings and Jets will commence at 18:30hrs, while the championship match begins at 20:30hrs.
