In total, five Berbicians have been elected to various posts at the recently held Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) elections.
The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has congratulated its members on their respective election to the Executive and Selection Committees of the GCB.
BCB President Hilbert Foster has been elected Vice President (Cricket Development), Rabindranauth Saywack has been elected Vice President (Cricket Administration), Dr. Cecil Beharry has been elected GCB Assistant Treasurer, Anil Beharry has been elected Technocrat Member (with voting rights) and Andre Percival has been elected Chairman of the Junior Selection Committee.

“Over the last three years, the fortune of Berbice Cricket has changed due to the hard work, personal sacrifice and dedication of the entire BCB executives, and we are confident that Guyana would benefit from their wisdom.
“Our President, Hilbert Foster, has also been appointed as a Director of Cricket West Indies (CWI), making him the first full time director from the Ancient County. Mr. Foster has worked beyond the call of duty for cricket, and BCB is also confident that West Indies Cricket would be richer for his presence.
“We have also nominated former national coach Albert Smith to be a Senior Selector.
“We want to reassure all Guyanese that all of the executives are committed to working hard for the overall development of our country.
“Congrats are also extended to President Bissoondyal Singh and the rest of his executives. Please be assured that you have all our total support. Thankfully, the dark days are behind us.”
