26 foreign women among 34 in custody after raid at Red Dragon night club
In a late-night operation on Saturday, police conducted a raid at the Red Dragon Night Club on Robb Street, Bourda, Georgetown.
The raid, led by two assistant superintendents, involved a search of both the nightclub and its patrons. Despite the extensive search which occurred between, between 00:00 and 03:40h, no items of evidential value were discovered, Police said.
However, during the operation, police identified and detained 26 women of Venezuelan, Cuban, and Dominican Republic nationality, as well as five male security guards and three barmen. All individuals were escorted to CID Headquarters for further questioning as investigations continue.
