The beginning of the rainy season has spared no wrath, causing sections of the Corentyne Coast to become heavily inundated.
Among those areas are farmlands, and already, over 200 acres of rice have been destroyed, and more lands are under threat as the rainy season persists.
Some 280 acres of rice have been damaged at the 52-74 Youth Farmers Co-op Society.
