Home News 3 busted with cocaine during raid at Goed Intent
Three persons of Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara (WBD), were on Friday taken into custody following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine in their possession.
Acting on reliable intelligence, law enforcement officers swiftly proceeded to a house in the area during which a search was conducted in the presence of the owner, a 30-year-old female, and a 24-year-old female from Essequibo.
During the search, officers’ attention was drawn to a black bulky bag that was on the kitchen table. Upon examination, the bag contained several pieces of whitish rock-like substances, suspected to be cocaine.
Police said when the owner was informed of the suspicions and allegations against him, he responded by saying, “Officer, let us deal with it.” The three persons were arrested and escorted to the Wales Police Station.
Whilst there, the cocaine was weighed and amounted to 41.6 grams. The owner later admitted ownership of the illicit substance. Investigations are ongoing.
