Three persons were on Saturday nabbed and are in custody following the discovery of illicit drugs and a gun during separate Police operations.
Reports are Police acting on intelligence gathered intercepted a minibus at Mabura, Upper Demerara River, Region One (Barima-Waini), at about 09:00h and conducted a search. During the exercise, 89 grams of cocaine and 6818 grams of cannabis were unearthed. As a result of this, two persons were taken into custody pending charges.
Also, on Saturday at Kaneville, East Bank Demerara (EBD), Police unearthed a .38 revolver with two live matching rounds. Investigations are ongoing.
