Three children who were injured in a boat accident in the vicinity of Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) on Wednesday.
Sheneil Moshett, Cleaveroy Edmonds and Jamal Thornhill, who are all students of Bartica Secondary School, were air-dashed by Roraima Airways to the Eugene F Correia Airport before being rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Guyana Times understands the children sustained spinal injuries and one of them suffered a broken foot. Others suffered minor injuries after the boat shuttling the school children ran ashore.
The accident occurred at Goshen, Riverview. Police are investigating the circumstances.
