Three Guyanese blind and visually impaired players were yesterday named in a training camp for the West Indies Cricket Council Blind and Visually Impaired team for the World Cup T20 Blind Cricket Tournament in India from January 28 to February 14, 2017.
The Guyanese who are included in the squad are Leroy Phillips, Ganesh Singh and Kevin Douglas. A total of 20 players were selected based on their performance in the recently concluded WICC Blind and Visually Impaired (WICCBVI) Regional T20 Tournament. The coaches for the participating teams were the ones who selected the team.
Those players were listed in the following category B1-players who are totally blind, B2-are players who are partially sighted while a B3 are players who are partially blind.

B2-Gregory Stuart (Jam), Ricardo Manning (Bar), Caneel Graham (Jam), Alvin James (Jam), KC Warde Ryan (Bar) and Mark Goddard (Bar)
B3- Rodney Ramrattan (T&T), Dennol Shim (Jam), Loshane Myles (Jam), Kevin Douglas (Guy), Jennyson Pooyah (T&T), Halden Forde (Bar) and Mark Sweeney (Jam).
The date and location for the training camp will be announced at a later date.
