The North Ruimveldt, Georgetown house on fire

When Guyana Times visited the area on Wednesday morning, neighbours said the pregnant woman and her partner, who is the owner of the property, had been arguing for most of the day on Tuesday.
According to neighbours, in the evening, they heard the woman telling the man that she wanted eggs to eat. However, he responded by saying that he did not have any eggs.
The neighbours claimed that this led to another argument that lasted for some time.
It is alleged that during the argument, the man walked out of the yard, and shortly after, loud sounds of falling dishes were heard coming from the building.
Within minutes, there was a loud explosion followed by flames around 21:30h.
The Fire Service was immediately summoned to the scene. However, the building was completely destroyed by the time the firefighters were able to douse the flames.
