Three persons have died in a horrific accident on Monday night at De Willem, West Coast Demerara (WCD) which was allegedly caused by two cars that were racing. Up to press time, the identities of the victims were not yet known, but Guyana Times understands that none of them were occupants of the vehicles involved in the accident.
Preliminary reports indicate that two vehicles were racing along the roadway when they collided with each other. One of the vehicles continued on its way while the other spun out of control and slammed into a shop.
In the process, the car struck down the three persons who were on the road, killing them. This newspaper was told that one of the dead persons worked at the shop.
Up to press time, the identities of the victims were not yet known, but Guyana Times understands that none of them were occupants of the vehicles involved in the accident.
