The Ministry of Health is reporting that Guyana recorded three new COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours in addition to 40 new cases of the novel coronavirus.
This now takes the death toll to 35 and the total number of confirmed cases to 1180.
Based on the figures released, 9 persons are now housed in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) while 633 recoveries have been recorded.
Of the total cases, 581 are males while 599 are females. The Ministry claims that 96 persons are in Institutional Isolation while 407 are in Home Isolation.
101 persons are in Institutional Quarantine and the death toll remains at 112. Thus far, 7,811 tests have been administered.
