3 other witnesses testify as PI into murder of Linden man continues

As the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder of Ian “OJ” Williams continue at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, three other witnesses testified before Magistrate Wanda Fortune.
Lennox Leon Estwick is on trial for the September 28, 2019 murder, which took place at Lovers’ Lane, Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden.

It was reported that Williams was shot dead during an ambush while his then pregnant girlfriend was injured.
However, on Tuesday, witnesses Wendy Wilson and Constables S McIntosh and K Conway testified in relation to their involvement with the case. So far, 11 witnesses have testified.
It is alleged that Estwick unlawfully murdered the 24-year-old man who resided at Lot 4 Wisroc Housing Scheme, Wismar, Linden. His girlfriend, who survived the shooting, was shot twice.

It was reported that the shooting stemmed from a “gang war”.
On the day in question, Williams reportedly drove to a location at Lovers’ Lane, Amelia’s Ward after receiving a telephone call from his girlfriend requesting that he pick her up from a party.
As she entered the vehicle, the car came under attack. Williams reportedly attempted to escape the scene, but the gunmen gave chase. During the chase, the gunmen continuously shot at the car.
Williams and his girlfriend were shot multiple times as they attempted to abandon their damaged vehicle. Williams subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
The father of two was the cousin of ex-cop Teon Allen, also called “Spoil Child”, who was allegedly the leader of a gang in Linden. Allen is presently on remand for the murder of his girlfriend in the mining town and numerous other offences.
The PI was adjourned until December 10.
