Enmore, Enterprise ‘A’ and Lusignan recorded victories in the East Coast Cricket Committee Bargain Supermarket T20 played on Sunday last.

In the first matchup of the day, fans saw Enmore defeat Golden Grove. Enmore won the toss and decided to bat first, posting 163 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Brian Sattaur top-scored with 48, and Amir Khan and Chris Surat chipped in with (37) and (27) respectively, while O Gardener and Richie Woolford grabbed two wickets apiece.

In reply to this mammoth total, Golden Grove crumbled to a meagre 44 all out, with Khan ripping through the batting with figures of 4 for 12. He was well supported by Rudolph Singh, who took 2 for 6 from 4 overs.

In the day’s second encounter, Enterprise ‘A’ overcame Better Hope ‘B’ by 6 wickets. Winning the toss and electing to bowl, Enterprise ‘A’ destroyed Better Hope ‘B’ by demolishing their batting lineup for 56 all out. R Singh and Clive Rampersaud scored 15 each, while Kamesh Yadram captured 4-10 and Pradesh Balkishun 2-7.
In reply, Enterprise reached 57-4, with Yadram scoring 16 to lead the way.

Playing on their home ground, Lusignan, who batted first, defeated Paradise by 19 runs, despite posting 112 for 9 from 16 overs due to inclement weather. Kumar Bishundyal top-scored with 27, and was well supported by Tameshwar Motiram, who scored 24. Jermaine Martin bagged 3 for 21, while W Ramsammy took 2 for 16.
A valiant effort from Paradise could only manage 93 for 8 in 16 overs, with Q Douglas top-scoring with 24. Jason Heyliger took 3 for 28 and Kumar Bishundyal claimed 2 for 14.

Lusignan ‘B’ bested the Ogle cricket team at Ogle by 10 runs. Batting first, Lusignan ‘B’ managed 117-9, with Marvin Persaud scoring 28 and Azad Mohamed 24. Andrew Samaroo and Andrew Gomes grabbed two wickets apiece.
In reply, Ogle were restricted to 107-8, with Samaroo making 31 and A Sinclair contributing 21. Navin Persaud and Imran Khan took 2 each for the opposition.
The competition continues this Sunday at Lusignan, ECD. Lusignan ‘A’ will face Enterprise ‘A’, and Lusignan ‘B’ will take on Enmore. Better Hope will tackle hosts Strathavon at 13:00hrs in the other scheduled match.
