Home News 3-vehicle smash-up leaves 1 injured
Fifty-seven-year-old Deolall Mohan of Lot 80 Blankenburg Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara, was injured following an accident involving three vehicles along the main access road on Saturday evening.
Police stated that on the day in question at about 20:45h, a motor car bearing registration number PRR 3572, driven by Rakesh Nandalall, 42, was proceeding along the Blankenburg Public Road at a fast rate of speed when it collided with the left side front of Mohan’s car, PLL 3626.
As a result of the collision, Mohan collided with motor pick-up GTT 5608, which was parked facing west on the northern side of the road.
After the accident, Mohan was taken out of his vehicle in a conscious state by public-spirited persons and taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH) where he was seen and examined for the injuries received to his head.
He was later admitted at a private hospital for observation. A breathalyser test was conducted on the driver of motor car PRR 3572 but there were no signs of alcohol in his system. Investigations are continuing.
