3 women shot dead, man critical in Linden-Soesdyke Highway shooting

A shooting on Wednesday evening at a residence in Waiakabra along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway has left three women dead and one man critically injured.
Reports are that the suspect identified as Ramzan Ramdial reportedly entered the premises and opened fire on four individuals: his mother-in-law, Waveney LaCruz; his wife, Maline LaCruz; his sister-in-law, Sueann LaCruz and his brother-in-law, Seon LaCruz.
Guyana Times understands that the three women succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Seon LaCruz was rushed to a nearby medical facility. He is currently unconscious and in critical condition.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and investigators are currently probing the circumstances surrounding the incident. The suspect’s whereabouts were unknown up to press time. (More details in Friday’s edition)
