Two persons were arrested on Wednesday following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana at Honey Camp Landing, Issano, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni). Arrested are a 48-year-old resident of Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice), and a 29-year-old resident of Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo).
Police stated that during the operation, 98.3 grams of cannabis, 62.4g of cocaine, and a quantity of cash suspected to be from narcotics sales were found in the possession of the 48-year-old man.
In addition, a search of the other suspect unearthed 2.5g of cannabis and 1.5g of cocaine. The suspects and the narcotics were taken to the Issano Police Station as investigations continue.
