4 arrested with $320,000 in counterfeit notes

Three men and one woman were on Monday evening taken into custody after Police swooped down on a house at Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice, and found $320,000 in $5000 counterfeit notes.
Based on reports received, Police acting on information went to the house and conducted a raid during which the counterfeit notes were unearthed.
In addition, the ranks executed another operation at a house at Sea Dam, Crabwood Creek, Corriverton, where they found one HP Deskjet printer and two laptop computers.
It is suspected that the computers and printer were used to produce the counterfeit notes. The items were confiscated and taken to the Springlands Police Station where they were lodged as Police continue their investigations.
Meanwhile, the four persons who were arrested are expected to be charged shortly.
