4 teams register victories

The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) 2018 Pepsi Tournament is the eighteenth tournament to be organised by this vibrant Board, with thirteen of those having already been completed.
In the third round of this Tournament, Blairmont Community Centre, West Berbice Cricket Team, Tucber Park Cricket Club, Rose Hall Canje Cricket Club, Police Sports Club and Young Warriors Cricket Club contested Zone A encounters; while Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets, Albion Community Centre, Port Mourant Cricket Club, Upper Corentyne Cricket Club and Skeldon Cricket Club battled in Zone B.
At Bush Lot, Blairmont defeated Police by 94 runs. Batting first, Blairmont amassed 277 all out, with the inform Zameer Nasir top-scoring with 59, which included three boundaries and five massive sixes. National Under-17 player Seon Glasgow (45) and Marvin Prashad (26) batted well, while extras contributed a healthy 36 runs.
Pacer Jamal Jarvis took 3 wickets for 55, while C. Mitchell took 2 for 41, T. Drakes 2 for 41, and C. Campbell 2 for 46 for Police.
In reply, Police were bowled out for 183, with Brentnol Woolford (36), Khemraj Mahadeo (31) and G. Rant (26) being the only batsmen to offer resistance as left- arm spinner Nigel Deodat took 4 for 29 from nine overs for Blairmont, while Shabeer Baksh supported with 2 for 51.
Over at Cumberland, Young Warriors Cricket Club squeezed past old rivals Tucber Park Cricket Club by one wicket. Tucber Park made 149 in 32.5 overs, with Nial Smith (41), Quacy Mickle (43) and Garfield Benjamin (21) being the top scorers.
Berbice Under19 left-arm spinner Trevon Stanislaus took 5 for 33, while Kassim Khan and Linden Austin took 3 for 27 and 2 for 41 respectively.
Needing to score 149 for victory, Young Warriors batted their way to 150 for 9 off 41.4 overs, with Vishal Mohabir scoring 50 and Linden Austin 37. Former junior National pacer Nial Smith took 7 for 32 in a losing cause for Tucber Park.
At Welfare Ground in East Canje, West Berbice defeated Rose Hall Canje by 42 runs. West Berbice made 194 all out in 44 overs, with A. Mc Donald and Andrew Dutchin both making 50, while Sherwin Mc Pherson pitched in with 28. Mark Sampson took 3 for 33 while Martin Singh snared 3 for 35.
Rose Hall Canje made 153 all out in 45.5 overs, with Martin Singh top-scoring with 69. Steffan Adams was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 25.
Meanwhile, at Albion, the home team defeated Skeldon, but scores are unavailable as both teams failed to submit their report forms.
The Tournament is being played in a round-robin format. International Softball Brand and DDL through their Pepsi brand are sponsors for the Tournament, which pulled a cost of $500,000.
