47 new COVID-19 cases recorded

The Ministry of Health is reporting that Guyana has recorded an addition 47cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) taking the total recorded cases to 1140 since the first case was reported back in March.

Based on the figures released, 10 persons are now housed in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) whole 616 recoveries have been recorded.

Of the total cases, 563 are males while 577 are females. The Ministry claims that 102  persons are in Institutional Isolation while 380 are in Home Isolation.

119 persons are in Institutional Quarantine and the death toll has climbed to 32. Thus far, 7,654 tests have been administered.No photo description available.
