4th annual tournament to kick off with double header

Tomorrow evening, The Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue will come alive as the fourth annual Limacol football tournament kicks off their 2019 season.
When the tournament begins tomorrow evening, sixteen teams; in four groups will be in contention for over $750,000 in cash and prizes. The tournament has seen an additional four teams competing from the initial 12 that was first announced.

A glimpse of the action during the 2018 competition

Nevertheless, the Limacol action will get underway at 19:00hrs on Saturday, when Dynamic Football club takes on Police B in the first encounter of the competition. The second and final game of the night will kick off at 21:00hrs and will see Santos Under 20 Squad coming up against Black Pearl.
The next paying day will be Tuesday September 3 and will feature Mahaica Determinators and Pele Fc going head to head at 19:00hrs. The second game on that night will see Beacons going toe to toe with Pouderoyen at 21:00hrs.
The teams will participate in the round-robin group stage before advancing to the quarterfinals, semis and the final showdown. With a new champion set to be crowned, the twelve teams will be battling for a $400,000 first prize, while second place will walk away with $200,000. Third and fourth places will pocket $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
While pharmaceutical company New GPC Inc is the primary sponsor pf the tournament, W.J. Enterprise which is the sole distributor of Croxley Paper has recently come on board as a sponsor.
