Five men have been arrested following the discovery of 189 grams of cannabis at the Annai Police Checkpoint, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo), on Sunday evening.

The illicit plant was found hidden in a canter during an inspection of the vehicle.
Following the discovery, the five men admitted ownership of the bag containing the prohibited substance but the driver and others were acting in a suspicious manner and as such, they were all detained for questioning.
