A mason is currently in custody following the discovery of a large quantity of cannabis at a house in Thomas Street, Kitty Georgetown, on Friday morning. 
According to information received, ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch acting on information went to the house and conducted a search during which five kilograms of marijuana was found.
The illegal substance was found concealed in two transparent plastic parcels in a section of the house. The mason was told of the offence and subsequently arrested. He is expected to be slapped with a possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking charge in the new week.
Police have confiscated the cannabis as they continue their investigations.
