The Guyana 3×3 Basketball Men’s National Team has exited the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey with a 9th place performance.
Team Guyana split games 3 and 4 with a loss to Iran and a victory over Maldives to complete group play. In game 3, Guyana lost 21-12 to a more seasoned Iranian 3×3 basketball team. Harold Adams led the scoring with 7 points, while Nikkoloi Smith and Stanton Rose Jr contributed three and two points respectively.

In game 4, Guyana had an easy victory over the winless Maldives 22-12. Team captain Stanton Rose Jr. led the scoring with 7 points, while Harold Adams, Travis Belgrave and Nikkoloi Smith each contributed 5 points.

Guyana exited the competition in 9th place, after finishing 3rd in group play with two wins and two losses, and scoring a total of 67 points, averaging 16.8 points per game.
In this shortened version of basketball, Team Guyana showed resilience against seasoned teams from the African and Asian continents. Guyana was one of two western countries competing in 3×3 basketball at these games.
