Reports are the incident occurred at about 22:30h at the Soesdyke-Linden Highway location on Friday.
Inquiries disclosed that the black Toyota Allion motor car, which was driven by a 24-year-old Police Constable of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was proceeding in a southwestern direction along the southeastern lane of the roadway when its left rear tyre suffered a blowout.
This reportedly caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle as it toppled several times off the roadway before coming to a halt on the southeastern parapet of the road.
The occupants were taken out of the car by public-spirited citizens and transported to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) where they were all treated for minor injuries, except the seven-year-old female who was admitted for a broken left leg. An investigation is underway.
