He was charged together with four other men who were previously held and the alleged mastermind Marcus Bisram, who was absent. A wanted bulletin was Wednesday issued for Bisram, an overseas-based Guyanese.
The five men who appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts were not allowed to plead to the matter since it was indictable.
On Tuesday last, Radesh Motie, 39, Harripaul Parsram, 49, Nirone Yacoob, 37, and Diodat Datt, 18, were charged with the carpenter’s murder. The charge stated that the murder occurred between October 31 and November 1, 2016 at No 70 Village, Corentyne.
The matter was transferred to the Springlands Magistrate’s Court for December 08.
Earlier this week, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum had said that the Guyana Police Force was seeking help from United States law enforcement in its bid to question the alleged mastermind in the killing of Narinedatt.
According to Chief Blanhum, the GPF has already contacted its overseas counterparts. The US-based Guyanese was implicated in the murder of Narinedatt, by the four suspects.
Meanwhile the two women who allegedly attempted to pervert the course of justice by way of bribery of a Police officer with $4 million, were remanded earlier this week.
Shermella Indarally, 45, of Lot 121 Section A, No 71 Village, Corentyne Coast, Berbice, and Marriam Lionel, 25, of Corentyne Coast, Berbice, a bank teller, were refused bail after the prosecution objected.
The women were ordered to return to court on September 28.
The body of Narinedatt was discovered at about 03:45h on November 1, along the Corentyne Highway at Number 70 Village at a scene which appeared to be that of a hit-and-run accident.
