Eight young ladies within the community of Bartica will compete in several segments on Sunday evening, with the aim of winning the Miss Bartica Regatta title.
This pageant is set for the Bartica Community Centre Ground where the delegates will try to impress a high-level team of judges.
The delegates vying for the title are Miss Top Branz International Candia Paul; Miss Jag’s Aviation Crystal Williams; Miss Aruwai Resort White H20 Gabbriella Chapman; Miss Zhonghao Inc Lakeshia Christian; Miss Universal Melody Band Leah Smith; Miss Captain Prince Transport Naline Baptiste; Miss Falls Service Station Shania Thom and Miss Eldorado Trading Shyan Beaton.
The well-rounded delegates will be competing in the talent, swimwear, evening gown and intelligence segments. After the final leg of competition, the list will be narrowed down to the final three contestants, who will have the opportunity to answer the final question.
The final question will be the deciding factor as to who takes the coveted crown. The queen of the night will walk away with a cash prize, mobile phone, jewellery, cosmetics, a day trip to a resort not forgetting the crown and the floral bouquet.
The pageant will commence at 20:00h, and tickets will be available in advance at a cost of $3000. Apart from the actual pageant, there will be several entertainment groups that will keep the audience well-entertained as they perform dances, songs and other cultural items.
The crowned queen will be a part of the annual Bartica Regatta set for Sunday.
