Guyana will be represented by nine badminton players in the Caribbean Regional and International Badminton Championships.
The team is already in Trinidad for the competition which commences today and concludes on Friday, August 25.
The National Badminton Team
The national squad includes; Under-13 Junior -Vikash Mootoo. Under-17 Junior – Priyanna Ramdhani, Tyrese Jeffrey and Akili Haymes. Under-19 Junior – Jonathan Mangra, Priyanna Ramdhani and Ambika Ramraj. Masters Over-45 Championship: Gokarn Ramdhani and Dr. Nicholas Waldron.
The Tournament will be played at the National Racket Centre in Tacarigua.
Last year, when the championship was held in Aruba returned home with 13 Medals (2-Gold, 7-Silvers and 4-Bronze). This year Guyana will be participating in Singles, Doubles and Mix Doubles in these Events
The players will participate in two segments the Regional and International. The following are the respective categories the players would participate in.
