Nine beautiful young ladies from East Coast Demerara communities will be representing their respective villages in the “Beauty with a purpose” pageant, which will be held at the Buxton Community Centre Ground on Saturday, November 4.
These nine delegates have officially been sashed in September, and have been in training for the big night. Each is now set to represent her village with an immense sense of pride and honour. This opportunity isn’t just about winning a title or wearing a sash, but about each beauty carrying the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of her entire community on her shoulders.
As they stand on that stage on pageant night, resplendent in their gowns and sashes, their hearts swelling with pride, they would have already understood that they are not just individuals, but ambassadors of their village, representing its values, culture, and traditions. They are each the living embodiment of the hard work and determination that their community has poured into them, and they would each be determined to make their village proud.
On pageant night, the delegates would compete in various segments, including introduction, talent, swimwear, fantasy wear, evening wear and intelligence.
Each VIP ticket for this grand affair costs $5000, and each general ticket costs $3000. An early bird ticket costs $2000.
