90 households along Mahaicony Creek receive water donation from Massy

On the heels of World Water Day 2022, Massy Distributions (Guyana) visited the Mahaicony Creek area of Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice), where approximately 90 households benefited from a Blue Water distribution exercise.
Chairman of the Mahaica/ Mahaicony/Abary/Agricultural Development Authority (MMA/ADA), Mohamed Rafeeoodeen, and Vinode Persaud and Colin Stuart, representatives of Massy Distribution, were able to access areas stretching from Governor’s Light to First Savannah, passing through communities such as Johanna Creek, Bora Bora, Yarrow Creek, Mora Point, Pine Ground, Gordon Table, and Macuba.

A total of 110 cases of 500ml bottles of Blue Water were distributed to the residents within those areas.
World Water Day 2022 was observed under the theme: Groundwater, making the invisible visible.
According to the United Nations (UN), World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis.
The UN has said that a core focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.
