The Indian High Commission in Guyana has intensified its efforts to sustain Indian culture in Guyana by visiting and donating instruments to several temples and artistic institutions.
High Commissioner, His Excellency, Dr K J Srinivasa participated in the outreach to Regions Three (Essequibo Island-West Demerara) and Four (Demerara-Mahaica) where the visits spanned out to the Ruimzeight Sanatan School of Arts, De Willem Hindu Temple, Meten-Meer-Zorg East Vishnu Mandir, Zeelught Shiva Mandir, Tuschen South Shiva Mandir and Kailash Yaatra Ashram. 
The High Commissioner interacted with the worshippers and members of the various communities. He also donated three harmoniums, two sets of tabla drums and one dholak drum.
He also took the opportunity to educate residents about the initiatives undertaken by India including the scholarship programme which is open to all Guyanese.
