– 33 new cases recorded in 24h
A 76-year-old man from Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 fatality after he died en-route to a medical facility on Monday.
His death, which was confirmed by the Health Ministry on Tuesday, has now taken the death toll to 204.
On Monday, two women, a 69-year-old from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 64-year-old from Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) were victims of the virus. They died while receiving medical care at a hospital.
However, the Health Ministry in its daily update, revealed that 33 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from a total of 814 tests that were done. To date, Guyana has recorded 8847 cases – 4556 males and 4291 females.
