…Police on the hunt for teen suspect
A Policeman who on Monday evening was stabbed eight times while on duty, has been discharged from the New Amsterdam Hospital as Police hunt his 17-year-old attacker.
Commander of B Division (Berbice), Lyndon Alves, told Guyana Times on Wednesday that Constable Randy Claxton was discharged from hospital. According to the Commander, Police are currently hunting his attacker, who is a ‘known individual’.
The Police Officer was rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital on Monday, after he was stabbed eight times with a knife by a high school student.
The 32-year-old Constable of Central Police Station, who is attached to the Anti-Crime Motorcycle Patrol Unit, was at the time of the incident performing his duties.
