WIST Ministries to host Dance Camp July 19-21

The months of July and August mark a period of vacation, especially for our young people, and as such, parents and their children are often looking for some new and/or exciting thing to do.

This year, WIST Ministries International would be hosting a technique dance camp. The dance camp is scheduled to be held at Regency Suites Hotel in Georgetown from July 19 to July 21, and is open to persons of all ages.

The instructor for the camp would be Patrice Ambrose from the United States of America. She has been dancing for over 25 years, and is extremely competent in various styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and more.

The former cheerleader is the owner and instructor of the Spirit of Excellence dance studio in Massachusetts, USA. She is presently the co-pastor with her husband Pastor Andrew Ambroise at Hosanna International Ministries in Brockton, MA.

The host, WIST Ministries International, is a Christian dance institute that was established in Guyana 15 years ago. Over the years, it has hosted numerous events all over Guyana such as “The Shift” in Main Street in 2016; “He is Risen” at the National Park in March 2018, and its annual Christmas production at the National Cultural Centre.

This year is no different as it seeks to edify and equip individuals through the God-given theme – “Our technique under His anointing for His glory”.

This camp will focus on various styles of dance technique, including the use of stunts in choreography. Attendees are guaranteed a packed few days with various dance techniques. Attendees have the option to attend the sessions only or they can register to stay in the Regency Suites Hotel while in attendance.

There will also be a very special session called “mommy and me”, and it is open for children between the ages of 18 months and four years. It would be a very memorable and bonding event for the child and parent or guardian. This will be held on Saturday, July 21 from 10:00h.
