A situation of perplexity, uncertainty surrounds the Opposition

Dear Editor,
The Opposition, that is, the combined WIN and APNU parties, are in a quandary. I say this from the standpoint of the strategy they are using “to unsettle” the Government has backfired on them.
To use the Creole term which succinctly explains what is going on in Guyana, I say that “double bank” strategy of the opposition did not work, and will never work, because it has all the complexities built into it, that has caused us to get to the place where we are today. The Coalition was doomed right from the very start, because with so many persons vying for power and position there would have been no cohesion at all, no unity of purpose in government. So, the Coalition fell.
Fast forward to the present and the same principle applies; the opposition is in complete confusion because here you have a fugitive offender leading the main opposition party. The confusion has already started in that party, when he goes for trial and possible incarceration in the US, who will hold that party together? Would it be Hannah or would it be Odessa? From all indication that party is headed for a hard fall in just the same way the AFC fell.
The PNC/PNC/R/APNU is in another casualty from the big tent arrangement, they suffered hardest, losing 19 seats in that cook-up coalition with the WIN Party. Norton, is particularly peeved with that fall from grace position, so like a spoil child he heads his team by remote. He is also on a passive/aggressive mode when it comes to matters that involves the opposition benches. He cannot openly support Azruddin Mohammed, for fear that visa sanctions can be levied on him at any time. In the meantime, he walks a tightrope.
The government, for its own part has to be vigilant and watchful of everything Mohammed says and does.
So, the situation of perplexity and uncertainty continues as we move forward here in Guyana. We are watching!

Respectfully
