South Africa batted well and persisted through some difficult periods throughout the match as they were 124 for 5 at the lunch interval. Nquaba Peters fell for 50 after the lunch break. South Africa A then got a huge boost as de Swardt and Schalk Engelbrecht put on a huge 157-run partnership as they batted to the end of the day’s play. Play will resume today as the West Indies will look to limit the South African batsmen as much as possible and have a good outing with the bat.
