Accused bottle thief faces court

The case of alleged simple larceny in which 64-year-old Walter Joseph of Oronoque Drive, Retrieve, Linden has been accused of removing from Black Face Disco, where he was employed, 60 cases of empty Banks DIH Ltd bottles valued at $30,000, at some time between May 2017 and February 2018, commenced on Tuesday before Linden Magistrate Clive Nurse.
The virtual complainant on Tuesday took to the stand to give evidence against Joseph, who is currently on $20,000 bail and is being represented by attorney René McDonald.
The matter has, however, been adjourned to August 27.
