Black Pearl, Order and Discipline grab close wins

Action in the Georgetown Football Association First Division League continued on Sunday with three close games.
Black Pearl was the first team to register a win for the day in the second match of the day when they topped Blackwater 1-nil.
A close game throughout, Samuel Van Dye 69th minute goal was the decider in the match that could have gone either way.
However, the first match of the day proved a stalemate when Liliendaal Wolves and Houston Stars played to a 1-1 finish.
Houston opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and tried to hold the forth but Wolves responded in the 69th minute with a goal from Conrad Saul.
The final game of the day saw Order and Discipline topping Eastveldt 2-1 in a thrilling contest to end the day’s play.
Order and Discipline after a shaky start netted the game’s first goal through a strike from Seon Taylor in the 33rd minute.
Mase Assanah restored the confidence in Eastveldt as she scored just before halftime to put the teams back on level pegging in the 42nd minute.
Five minute into the second half Clive Joan rocked the net for Order and Discipline in the 50th minute as the side held off Eastveldt for the three points.
