Agricola Red Triangle’s Brian Lambert put in a sterling performance on Saturday and Sunday to keep his team atop the point standings as the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) sanctioned Pele Alumini Frank Watson Under-15 football League continued.
The Timehri Red Ground saw Agricola remain unbeaten with wins over Samatta Point/Kaneville and Friendship. Lambert was instrumental in both victories as he scored four goals in his team’s 5 – 1 win over Samatta Point and recorded a hat-trick the following day when his team disposed of Friendship 4 – 0.
They still lead the standings with a solid 19 points while their closest rival is Grove Hi-Tech, currently on 15. Grove suffered their first loss on Saturday but rebounded to claim a 2 – 1 win over Herstelling Raiders on Sunday.
Wins also went to third-place occupants Timehri Panthers, Diamond Upsetters, Herstelling Raiders, Swan FC and Mocha Champs. Mocha gave the Raiders a walkover victory on Saturday but managed to find a squad the following day and won 3 – 1 against Soesdyke Falcons.
The East Bank Football Association (EBFA) event resumes this weekend at the same venue.
