Albion CCCC extends gratitude to BCB, RHTY&SC for assistance
The President, Executives and Members of the Albion Community Centre Cricket Club (ACCCC) would like to thank the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) and the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) for making five food hampers available to the ACCCC.
These food hampers were given to five of the Club’s young cricketers whose respective families are in need. A release from the Club detailed.
“We sincerely thank the BCB and the RHTY&SC for this kind gesture, as this is another testimony of the wonder work being done by both organizations”, the ACCCC has said in its release.
The ACCCC had last Wednesday provided face masks to its membership as part of its efforts to fight the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and is currently looking at engaging in other activities to provide continued assistance, not only to its members, but to needy persons in the Albion area and nearby communities.
Distribution of sanitizing agents and food items is high on its agenda. According to the release, the Club’s Executives will be having a virtual meeting early in the new week to finalise arrangements in this regard.
Albion CCC was among the clubs that benefited from this RHTY&SC/BCB food hamper project. Among cricket clubs in Berbice that received these hampers were West Berbice, Blairmont, Mt Sinai, Rose Hall Canje, Young Warriors, Chesney, Whim, Port Mourant, Guymine and Kildonan.
