Two Albouystown residents appeared before a city Magistrate on a robbery charge and were placed on , 000 bail each.
Kevin Smith and John Adams both pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on July 31, 2016, at King Street, Georgetown while being armed with a chopper, they robbed Marlon Hillman of $3000.
The prosecution’s case contended that on the day in question, the Virtual Complainant was relieved of his cash at 00:55h. Following the robbery, the VC alerted a Police patrol and the duo was later intercepted with the $3000.
The unrepresented defendants contended that they were riding a bicycle when the VC informed them of the loss of cash and later they were arrested.
The men were placed on $75,000 bail each on the condition that they report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The case will continue on August 16.
