All eyes on Shepherd

The towering hostile fast bowler and capable batsman plans to do so through consistency in his game during the Jaguars League 50 overs segment which is scheduled to begin on Thursday. “I just want to put some performances together…keep picking up wickets consistently to keep the selectors eyes on me.”
The 22 year old gigantic quickie believes staying fit is the most important aspect in fast bowling. And with his fitness and height he is expecting to keep the batsmen eyes open with extreme pace, extra bounce and the natural inswing he usually offer when steaming in.
Shepherd was the most successful fast bowler during the inaugural Jaguars Franchise League three day tournament. He was outstanding with the ball and chipped in with the bat for his franchise West Demerara which finished second behind winners Lower Corentyne.
He made his List A debut against Leewards Hurricanes where he grabbed 3-37 from 10 overs and was named man of the match for his exceptional effort which propelled his team to a comfortable seven wicket victory at Warner Park in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Nagico Super 50 2016. After that impressive debut, the Berbician failed to make the starting XI for the remainder of the season and will now have to work his way back to the Jaguars squad.
Due to his returns in the inaugural Jaguars Franchise League three day segment he was named in the Jaguars line up in their away games to the Leeward Hurricanes and Windward Volcanoes but he missed out on the playing XI.
The Regional Super 50 will be played in Antigua and Barbados from January 24 to February 18, 2017. Trinidad and Tobago Red Force are the defending champions and will be in Group A alongside Kent Spitfires, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, West Indies U19s and Windward Islands Volcanoes.
While Group B comprises Barbados Pride, Guyana Jaguars, CCC Marooners, Jamaica Scorpions and ICC Americas.
