All set for ‘Clash of the Titans’ tomorrow evening

– Artistes starting to arrive ahead of mega event

In a matter of hours, the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara is expected to be filled to capacity with the return of ‘Clash of the Titans’.
The promoter of the event, Guyanese singer now US-based Guyanese businessman, Mahendra Ramkellawan, confirmed that final preparations are being put in place for Saturday evening’s mega show.
Thus far, some of the international artists have arrived ahead of the big night, including the daughter of Babla and Kanchan, Neesha Sha from India; Omesh and others from Canada; Prince JP, Fiona Singh, Queen Yasmin and several others from the USA.
The Trini posse, including Ravi B and the Karma Band, KI and his band, Rikki Jai, Rakesh Yankarran, Neval Chatelall, Veekash Sahadeo and others, is expected to arrive later today. The GT crew includes Vanita Willie, Nehal B, Vacadi, AW Lyrical, Bunty Singh, Steven Ramphal, and the Shakti String Orchestra, among others.
The Caribbean Hotshots Band, De Wave Band out of Canada, Freestyle Band out of Suriname, Holland, and De Jai Master Band out of the US and others will also be featured on stage.
In addition, Trinidad’s hottest duo, Deejay Ana and Ultra Simmo, will be in the house
The event will be hosted by WR Reaz.
The artists, along with the promoters, are expected to be part of a welcoming reception at the home of businessman Azruddin Mohamed on Friday evening. Team Mohamed’s is one of the main sponsors of the event. Ramkellawan noted that all plans are in place for a grand evening. One of the priorities will be security. The promoter is reminding the public that no firearms will be allowed into the venue, neither would coolers be allowed.
With respect to ticket sales, Ramkellawan explained that tickets are still available at most locations.
“This is something we are not too concerned about…we all know Guyanese are always last minute…there will be ticket booths hours before the show starts in front of the stadium…So, for those who make up their minds at the last minute, we have you covered,” he stated.
General tickets cost $3,000 while the VIP tickets cost $10,000 and the VVIP All-inclusive tickets cost $30,000.
Meanwhile, due to the long lineup to perform on Saturday evening, the show is expected to get underway at 19:00h, but gates will be opened at 17:00h.
