Alleged alcoholic collapses, dies in yard

An alleged alcoholic reportedly collapsed and died in his yard after reportedly complaining of feeling a pain in his chest.
The dead man has been identified as 53-year-old Rabindranauth Nypaul, called Charlie, of No. 72 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
The Police have said that the now dead man lived alone, and had been a heavy drinker of alcohol. On the day in question, at about 13:00h, Nypaul was walking within his yard when he reportedly collapsed and became motionless. Prior to him falling to the ground, he had complained of feeling a pain in his stomach.
He was picked up and taken to the Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body did not have any marks of violence, and no foul play is suspected. A post mortem is expected to be conducted on the body shortly.
