Three persons, all of whom reside at Lot 13 Field Barnwell, Mocha, East Bank Demerara, were on Friday brought before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, accused of stealing 4 doors from a building under construction at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
Sween Evon, 27, Roy Nurse, 41 and Timacy Kameroon, 22, all pleaded not guilty to the joint charge of simple larceny.
It was alleged that on October 3, 2016 at Providence, the trio stole two pine doors valued $45,000 and two Purpleheart doors valued $32,000, property of Yomattie Seetaram. Prosecution facts revealed that the two men and woman stole the doors off a building under construction. The doors were recovered at the defendants’ residence.
The unrepresented defendants were granted bail altogether in the sum of $15,000. They are scheduled to make their next court appearance on October 25, 2016.
