bantamweight bout ended with the Cuban winning by unanimous decision.
For Lewis, his Junior Welterweight clash with Costa Rican Eduardo Sanchez went down to the wire but the spilt decision went in favour of Sanchez.
Guyana Boxing Association President Steve Ninvalle commenting on the performances of the duo spoke in high praise. Ninvalle felt Allicock certainly gave a good account of himself against a fighter who has won an Olympic gold medal. Regarding Lewis, he contended the result could have easily gone in favour of the Guyanese.
Next stop for the fighters will be the Commonwealth Games from April 4-15 in Australia.
