The Guyana Amazon Warriors through Operations Manager, Omar Khan showed their appreciation to the Guyana Marriot Hotel by handing over an autographed souvenir bat.
Khan during a brief ceremony held on Thursday at the hotel’s lobby said the team was pleased to give back to their sponsors who have been kind to them over the years during their Caribbean Premier League (CPL) campaign. And it’s just a token of appreciation.
We’ve been doing it year after year, showing appreciation to all the people who supported us throughout the tournament, and the Marriott Hotel has been one of those. They have been very supportive to us and we’ve stayed here since 2015 and we’re happy to be here. They’ve been very accommodating and supportive, so this is just a token of our appreciation to the Marriott,” Khan related.
Speaking on behalf of the management and staff of the hotel, Davie Sukdeo Director of Sales thanked Khan for his heartfelt token and expressed delight at being one of the team’s sponsors over the past three years.
At the Marriott Hotel we’re always ready and willing to host the Amazon Warriors team; we’ve been doing so for the last three years and our staff and everyone gets excited when there is CPL coming up, so we’re equally as delighted to receive this bat that you’ve given us for three years in a row. It’s going to be an addition to what we have in our glass case and we continue to look forward to a partnership with CPL and the Amazon Warriors.”
On Wednesday, a similar presentation was done to Minister of Education Nicolette Henry who also received a signed bat on behalf of the CPL franchise that is based in Guyana.
