An Amelia’s Ward, Linden, man who appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday was remanded to prison on six offences.
Adam McDonald, 28, of Lot 848 South Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden, was slapped with charges of break and enter and larceny, disorderly behaviour and damage to property.
It is alleged that on August 21, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged two sash windows at the Wismar Police Station, property of the Guyana Police Force, valued ,000. He was also charged with behaving disorderly at the said Police Station on August 24.
It is further alleged that on July 25, the defendant broke and entered the home of Janet Henry at Lot 1041 Cinderella City, Amelia’s Ward, with intent to commit a felony.
Further it is also alleged that on August 5, he broke and entered the home of Fabian Anthony at Central Amelia’s Ward and stole a flatscreen smart television valued 9,226, and a desktop computer and CPU valued 8,871, property of Anthony.
Additionally, it is alleged that the defendant broke and entered the home of Sonita McLean at Cinderella City, Amelia’s Ward on August 8 and stole ,000 in cash, property of McLean. The defendant was also charged with breaking and entering the home of June Cumberbatch of 1218 Central Amelia’s Ward on Tuesday, June 5, where he allegedly stole 00 cash.
The defendant however denied all the charges. The case will continue on September 28.
