Anna Catherina man busted with stolen items in home

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) have arrested a well-known fraudster after he was allegedly found with several pieces of stolen items in his Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara (WCD) home on Friday evening.
Law enforcement officers in Regional Division Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara), said they made the arrest after carrying out a search on the home of the man.
During the search, the 36-year-old man was found with several car parts and documents in his possession, which the Police suspect were stolen or unlawfully obtained.
The man, who also resides at Kuru Kururu on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway, remained silent when questioned about the items, after which he was arrested and escorted to the Leonora Police Station.
Police reports stated that he was placed into custody and later transferred to Diamond/Golden Grove Police Station.
“…he was also wanted in relation to other fraud accusations and other offences in Regional Divisions 4 A and 4 B”, the Police added.
Following the man’s arrest, several persons took to social media making allegations that they were also victims of his fraudulent activities. One man said: “He is a scamp he took my car and I never see him back. I told him God don’t sleep he will be caught.”
Another person posted, “This is the most wicked and evil person I ever meet. Good for him. He took my car and I never saw him again. Jail him!”.
The man is expected to make his court appearance this week.
