Twenty-one-year-old Elijah Adams, from Annandale, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on Tuesday granted $120,000 bail by Magistrate Fabayo Azore on a rape charge.
Adams was reported in July 2023 and was being investigated for the offence of ‘Rape of a Child under 16 years’.
He nevertheless, appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate Court on Tuesday where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plea to the indictment but was granted bail.
The matter was adjourned to June 27, 2024.
