Home News “Annoyed” Baramita man chops 4 persons
A Baramita village, Region One (Barima-Waini), man was on Tuesday remanded to prison on four counts of attempted murder when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Eddie Williams was not required to plea to the indictable charges as they were read to him by Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus. It is alleged that between April 1 and 12, 2019, at Baramita, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Selicia Jacobs, Devon Scott, Rawle Campbell and Bergil Thomas with intent to commit murder.
The court heard that the 21-year-old man dealt the victims several chops after he claimed that they “annoyed” him. It was also reported that Williams dealt Thomas several chops about the body when he asked him for a “Bamboo” and Thomas did not comply.
Williams, who is known to the police, was arrested and charged. The case will continue on May 7, 2019.
